Job Summary Georgia Gwinnett College is accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in Anthropology in the Liberal Arts for the academic year 2025-2026. The posting remains active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, Summer). Part-Time faculty positions are semester-based and report to the Department Chair. Courses may be offered in face-to-face, online, hybrid, and/or blended formats. Positions are on an as-needed basis and require additional time outside of class to provide written feedback and meet with students. Classes may be offered in fall, spring, and/or summer semesters with morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options.
Responsibilities
Developing course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the upper division program requirements and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs.
Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending student learning materials.
Evaluating students to measure progress toward institutional and course goals.
Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction.
Qualifications Required
A minimum of a master's degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline.
Preferred
Terminal degree in the teaching discipline
1-year college-level teaching
Sustained professional engagement demonstrating relevance and currency in the field
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Strong commitment to undergraduate education, student engagement, and service to the college and community. GGC values innovative teaching, advising, and mentoring; advising and mentoring are expected of all faculty.
