Georgia Gwinnett College is accepting applications for part-time faculty positions in Sociology in the School of Liberal Arts for the academic year 2025-2026. The posting remains active for AY25-26 hiring (Fall, Spring, and Summer). Part-Time faculty positions are semester-based and report to the Department Chair. Courses may be offered face-to-face, online, hybrid, or blended. These positions are on an as-needed basis and require time outside of class for written feedback and individual meetings with students. Classes are offered in Fall, Spring, and/or Summer with morning, afternoon, evening, and weekend options. Responsibilities

Developing course curricula, including the syllabus, lesson plans, and graded assignments, in accordance with the requirements of the upper division program and in consultation with the Associate Provost for Academic Affairs. Reviewing, evaluating, and recommending student learning materials. Evaluating students to measure their progress in achieving institutional and course goals. Timely and accurate submission of required paperwork related to instruction. Required Qualifications

A minimum of a master’s degree with 18 graduate semester hours (or 30 quarter hours) in the teaching discipline. Preferred Qualifications

Terminal degree in the teaching discipline 1-year college-level teaching Sustained professional engagement that demonstrates relevance and currency in the field of teaching. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
