Job Summary Located at our Downtown Campus, the Refugee Social Services Coordinator is the dedicated leader overseeing our Refugee Social Services (RSS) program, which helps newly arrived refugee and asylees adjust to and thrive in the United States. In this role, you’ll guide and supervise a team interpreters and case managers by coordinating services and build strong community partnerships – all while making a real difference in people’s lives. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

include the following. Related duties may be assigned. Provide leadership, evaluation, and supervision of the RSS grant program team. As needed, meet with program participants to determine eligibility, conduct intake and develop service plans or possible referral. Monitor the quality of program services and case notes. Provide guidance to team members and adapt to changing case note requirements as dictated by the funder. Develop and maintain a relationship with vital existing partners and network with other community service providers. Prepare programmatic reports including a monthly Salesforce report per the grant standards Proactively identify program needs, challenges and respond to changes. Then, enact well-thought-out strategies and direct team implementation. Attend programmatic meetings. Develop and provide community outreach and informational sessions. Assist the RIS program director in writing grant proposals for the RSS grant program. Work towards Performance standards for all programs and hold meetings with staff to work together for goal achievement. Attend trainings. Maintain a general awareness and understanding of the RSS grant program budgets to help the Program Director ensure funds are spent appropriately and effectively. Direct the marketing, communication, and outreach of all RSS grant program events as needed. Act as a resource for agencies, schools, councils, employers etc. to promote greater understanding of the needs of program participants. If bilingual, provide interpretation and/or translation services to program participants. Show flexibility and understanding in dealing with persons from diverse, social, economic and educational backgrounds. Accept appropriate additional responsibilities as requested. Regular attendance is expected. Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree required in Sociology, Psychology, or related field. Minimum 1 year experience in a leadership position. Proficient in computer software including Word and Excel. Strong written and oral communication skills. Experience developing and maintaining positive relationships with key partners. Flexibility and ability to multi-task. Preferred Qualifications Master’s Degree is preferred. Minimum 2 years’ experience working with immigrants and/or refugees Bilingual in either Spanish, French, Arabic, or Swahili Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.
