The Inside Sales function is responsible for selling the Company’s products and services to new and/or existing clients and developing or expanding accounts remotely via telephone or other electronic means. Primary responsibility is to maintain and grow the revenue stream through renewal management, cross-sell and up-sell of new opportunities.
Essential Key Responsibilities
Manage a team of Account Managers and Coaches that proactively work with customers throughout the United States to sell new business, cross-sell and up-sell D&B Service offerings to achieve monthly sales targets
Actively measure and evaluate the performance of Account Managers, measuring against clearly identified benchmark guidelines; Ensure that the performance of all key metrics in Salesforce.com is properly measured
Collaborate with all Small Business partners: Campaign Marketing, Reporting and Analytics, Finance, Sales Operations, Sales Planning, Human Resources and other Sales leaders to raise overall sales performance
Provide coaching and leadership to the team through participation in sales calls in varying stages of the sales process;
Develop career plans for each Account Manager and identify areas of exposure and growth to help them achieve their career plan aspirations
Through sales analytics, ensures our team members understand and professionally communicate our services to customers by demonstrating our commitment to their profitability
Partner with Business Partners to attract, recruit, build and develop a team of top performing sales professionals; handle all HR related topics for direct reports
Responsible for personnel administration for the team, including (but not limited to): salary review, coaching & training, team member development, performance management, compliance, and employee relations
Education and Experience
Years of Relevant Experience: 2 to 4 years
Associate's Degree: Required
Bachelor's Degree: Preferred
Essential Skills and/or Certifications
Strong technical aptitude with CRM experience, call center technologies and Microsoft Office Suite experience
Ability to perform in a fast-paced, high energy environment and think quickly on your feet to solve problems
Self-starter with ability to motivate a sales team to achieve results by handling multiple priorities and effectively lead teams through change
Proven track record in demonstrating strong sales performance results
Goal oriented and analytical
Ability to empower team members to make decisions that drive results for their customers
Show an ownership mindset in everything you do; be a problem solver, be curious and be inspired to take action, be proactive, seek ways to collaborate and connect with people and teams in support of driving success
