HDPE/Fusible Outside Sales Representative (Landfill) – Houston, TX
Core & Main is seeking an Outside Sales Representative with expertise in HDPE and fusible piping to serve landfill clients in Houston. Based in St. Louis, Core & Main is a leading distributor of water, wastewater, storm drainage, fire protection products and related services with nationwide reach. We deliver solutions to municipalities, private water companies and professional contractors across municipal, non-residential and residential end markets. Position Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated Outside Sales Representative with expertise in HDPE and fusible piping systems to serve as a trusted advisor to landfill clients. This role will drive growth by building relationships with engineering firms, contractors, municipalities, and waste management operators, ensuring Core & Main is the go-to partner for containment and piping solutions. Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute a sales strategy to grow Core & Main’s market share in the landfill sector. Promote HDPE geomembranes, fusible piping, and related solutions for landfill liners, leachate collection systems, capping projects, and other containment applications. Manage an assigned territory (Houston metro + surrounding regions) by prospecting, networking, and building long-term client relationships. Partner with engineering firms, environmental consultants, and contractors to specify Core & Main products in landfill projects. Conduct site visits and client meetings to understand project requirements and recommend solutions. Collaborate with internal teams (estimating, logistics, and technical support) to ensure smooth project execution. Stay current on environmental regulations, industry standards, and competitive offerings in the landfill space. Meet or exceed sales targets, pipeline growth, and profitability goals. Qualifications
3–5+ years of outside sales experience, ideally in HDPE piping, geomembranes, industrial piping, or related infrastructure products. Proven track record of success selling into landfill, environmental, construction, or infrastructure sectors. Strong technical aptitude with the ability to explain HDPE/fusible piping solutions and their applications. Established relationships in the Houston waste/environmental market strongly preferred.
