Overview Lead. Create. Inspire. Highland House isn’t your typical country club restaurant — it’s where scratch-made food meets creativity, community, and fun. Located inside the historic Dunedin Golf Club and owned by The Feinstein Group, Highland House delivers approachable yet elevated food, award-winning drinks, and memorable events — all rooted in hospitality and heart.
We’re looking for an Executive Chef who is culinarily driven, team-focused, and ready to innovate. Someone who thrives in both the artistry and the operations of the kitchen — a true servant leader who’s as excited to work the line as they are to design the next great menu.
Your Mission
As Executive Chef, you’ll lead our culinary team and shape the next chapter of Highland House’s food program. You’ll take ownership of the kitchen — from crafting inventive menus and running service, to executing private events and managing cost and performance.
This is a hands-on leadership role that blends creativity with strategy, and hospitality with precision.
What You’ll Do
Develop and execute a distinctive, profitable, and fun menu that celebrates fresh, well-sourced ingredients and Highland House’s elevated-classic identity.
Lead daily kitchen operations — from the restaurant and bar to private events — ensuring excellence in every plate that leaves the pass.
Inspire and grow your team through training, mentorship, and modeling servant leadership; we put people first.
Cook and collaborate — this is not an office-only role. You’ll work events, cook with the team, and stay close to the craft.
Maintain rigorous cost controls and efficient scheduling practices, balancing operational precision with creativity.
Oversee purchasing and sourcing, maintaining strong relationships with local vendors and negotiating smart, sustainable deals.
Collaborate across departments with our Food & Beverage Director and Event Coordinator to flawlessly execute both everyday service and private events.
Ensure full compliance with all health, safety, and sanitation standards while fostering a culture of accountability and cleanliness.
Use technology to your advantage — Toast KDS, Fusion Prep, and Restaurant365 are part of our daily toolkit for efficiency and transparency.
Analyze performance and financials — prepare reports, forecasts, and strategies for continued growth and profitability.
Who You Are
A creative culinary leader who thrives on innovation, flavor, and the joy of feeding people.
A servant leader who believes in enlightened hospitality — putting the team first to deliver guest experiences that shine.
A strategic thinker who understands the balance between artistry and business — someone who can create beautiful food while managing budgets and improving profitability.
A collaborator and communicator who brings energy, empathy, and professionalism to the kitchen every day.
A hands-on chef who isn’t afraid to jump on the line, lead an event, or roll up their sleeves alongside their team.
Qualifications
4+ years of Executive Chef experience, preferably in a country club or comparable high-quality restaurant environment.
Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts or related field preferred.
Proven experience in award-winning kitchens or elevated casual dining concepts is highly desirable.
Proficiency with modern kitchen systems — Toast KDS, Fusion Prep, Restaurant365, Microsoft Office, or Google Workspace.
Certified in food safety and sanitation, with a record of maintaining high standards in cleanliness and compliance.
Exceptional communication, organizational, and leadership skills.
Physical Requirements
Must be able to stand for long periods, walk, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds.
Comfortable performing in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment where excellence and energy go hand-in-hand.
Why Join Us
Be part of a company that leads with hospitality — we care deeply for our people and our guests.
Enjoy creative freedom to design, test, and refine menus that represent your culinary voice.

Join a team that’s respected, fun, and driven to make an impact on the Tampa Bay dining scene.
