Facilities Engineer II

As a licensed operating engineer, operates and maintains building mechanical systems and equipment. Power Plant equipment includes high-pressure boilers, chillers, and medical air compressors. The goal is to operate the equipment safely, efficiently, and reliably, minimizing unscheduled shutdowns, and providing a comfortable and safe environment for occupants. Responsibilities: Operates and assists in maintaining and repairing all power plant equipment with minimal supervision. Monitors other engineering systems and takes emergency actions as necessary. Operates high-pressure boilers and related equipment, including chillers, cooling towers, domestic hot water heating systems, water heating systems, generators, electrical switchgear, and energy management systems. Performs safety checks on plant equipment, conducts repairs, and preventive maintenance on assigned equipment. Cleans and paints equipment, piping, and associated accessories in power plant and mechanical rooms. Performs chemical analysis on boiler, chiller, cooling tower, and all closed-loop systems, adding chemicals to maintain prescribed balances. Handles chemical drums properly, uses safety equipment, and understands the importance of chemical balance in systems. Responds to plant emergencies, knowing the location of firefighting equipment. Addresses service requests, performs troubleshooting, corrections, and documents actions taken. Conducts scheduled maintenance and inspections following organizational and regulatory standards. Operates facility equipment routinely and as needed, ensuring safety and efficiency. May assist contractors and vendors with repairs, maintenance, and construction tasks. Additional Functions Coordinates audits to ensure compliance with quality procedures for staff and departments. Completes individual staff quality audits for the Revenue Cycle Division. Prepares documentation and reports for departmental and individual performance, including quality scorecards. Provides input on policies and procedures to Revenue Cycle leadership. Tracks and communicates audit performance across the department and division. Ensures compliance with documentation procedures for quality audits and reporting. Assesses staff development needs and communicates them to leadership. Collaborates with Epic application teams on project planning, curriculum development, and execution. Qualifications Required: High school diploma or equivalent Five years of relevant building maintenance experience, including high-pressure steam boilers Technical training in maintenance Licensed as a Stationary Engineer Experience with boilers, generators, or mechanical maintenance Valid driver’s license (must provide Driving Abstract) Physical Demand Requirement:
