Regional Chief Engineer, Operations, Data Center Engg Ops. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment to ensure continual access for customers. We work on challenging problems with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain and are looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to deliver high standards for safety and security while providing scalable capacity at the lowest possible cost. AWS is looking for a highly motivated Regional Chief Engineer (CE) to join our Data Center Engineering Operations (DCEO) Team. This group maintains the critical physical infrastructure that supports AWS, ensuring safe and secure operation of the data center's Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) systems to provide 99.999% availability. In this region, High Voltage Sub-Station (HVSS) experience is valuable given the PHX infrastructure layout. Key job responsibilities

Oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of mechanical and electrical equipment in a data center, including HVSS Operate independently with limited direct management Act as an escalation point for all facilities-related issues within the region Perform root cause analysis of equipment failures Create and deploy new standard practices for EOTs, CEs, and vendor support teams Provide training and guidance to EOTs, CEs, and FMs Ensure all safety procedures are adhered to by vendor and Amazon staff Communicate complex technical information to a non-technical audience Work cross-functionally across teams to drive cluster-wide performance improvement by designing and implementing processes, metrics, and programs that enhance the end-to-end employee experience Collaborate across teams to define strategy, goals, and obtain commitment to timelines and deliverables About the team

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field Experience taking new design concepts from exploration to deployment or mass production Experience in MS Excel, Word, and Windows operating systems Preferred Qualifications

The base pay for this position ranges from $98,700/year in our lowest geographic market up to $210,800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on factors including market location and job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
