Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer
to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. The qualified applicant will support the growing areas of the National Air and Space Intelligence Center and National Space Intelligence Center. The work supports programs that focus on space, counter space, and intelligence and will support various modeling, simulation, and analysis (MS&A) project teams in evaluating the mission performance of military systems. This position will specifically focus on the development and analysis of models and simulations utilizing the Advanced Framework for Simulation, Integration, and Modeling (AFSIM) Framework. Basic Qualifications (Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer) Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 2 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 0 years of related experience
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Software development experience in C++, Python, etc.
AFSIM Experience (scenario development, plugin development, etc)
Object detection and identification background.
Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers
Experience mentoring and developing junior-level engineers
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Basic Qualifications (Principal Modeling and Simulation Systems Engineer) Bachelor of Science in a STEM field and 5 years of related experience OR Master of Science in a STEM field and 3 years of related experience
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Software development experience in C++, Python, etc.
AFSIM Experience (scenario development, plugin development, etc)
Object detection and identification background.
Demonstrated experience leveraging a Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) approach.
Experience using Modeling, Simulation, and Analysis (MS&A) to inform the development of systems along the left side of the “systems engineering vee”
Experience using Python, MATLAB, SQL, or related technologies to interpret complex data sets
Comfortable communicating technical information to technical and non-technical customers
Experience mentoring and developing junior-level engineers
Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a team setting
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications Experience using Python, MATLAB, SQL, or related technologies to interpret complex data sets
Experience reading and interpreting systems engineering models using the Systems Modeling Language (SysML)
Ability to support development of systems engineering models utilizing SysML and Cameo
Experience using agile development methodologies
Salary Range:
$81,300 - $121,900 Salary Range 2:
$100,300 - $150,500 The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
