Job purpose Oversee the operations, maintenance, and optimization of Company’s water treatment plant, ensuring efficient and safe water treatment processes in compliance with HSEQ and regulatory requirements. Responsibilities Supervise water treatment operations and processes, ensuring optimal functioning of equipment/machinery. Monitor and control water quality, ensuring compliance with defined standards and regulatory requirements. Coordinate implementation of planned maintenance programs, repairs, and service of the plant machinery, equipment, and systems including boilers, generators, transformers, pulleys, belts, pipes, valves, and pumps. Conduct operational tests and inspections, consistently observing any malfunctions for immediate action. Troubleshoot technical issues and implement corrective maintenance and repairs. Oversee plant upgrades and repairs of the plant systems, equipment, and machinery, including replacement of outdated equipment and installing new safety features and automation to improve overall performance. Optimize water treatment processes to improve efficiency and reduce operational costs. Prepare and maintain current operating instructions and manuals for plant staff, including SOPs, protocols, and safety. Train and supervise plant operators and technical staff to ensure performance, discipline, and timely addressing of skills gaps. Reinforce compliance with HSEQ policy, SOPs, and regulations. Prepare reports on plant performance, maintenance activities, and regulatory compliance. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related field. Registered Professional Engineer. Minimum 5 years of experience in water treatment plant operations or related roles. Excellent technical knowledge of water treatment processes, filtration, and chemical dosing. Good understanding of water treatment regulations and quality standards. Proficiency in using SCADA systems and other water treatment monitoring tools. Adept at problem-solving and analytical ability. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and leadership skills.
