Overview Are you a dedicated Veterinary Surgeon looking to advance your career in a dynamic and supportive environment? Join a thriving 24-hour RCVS-accredited small animal hospital, where a large team of 14 vets, including surgical and medical certificate holders, awaits. Many of the vets are pursuing advanced certificates in surgery, orthopaedics, cardiology, exotics, and medicine. The highly skilled nursing team boasts many Schedule 3 and imaging-trained professionals, alongside several with post-graduate certificates. The team also includes a Hydrotherapist, 2 Physiotherapists, and 10 Client Care Advisers.

The state-of-the-art, purpose-built facilities include a CT scanner, and they have recently expanded their services to offer MRI, Hydrotherapy, Physiotherapy, and rehabilitation. The team provides gold-standard inpatient care, along with first opinion small animal services and outpatient services such as emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, CT/MRI imaging, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, and laser therapy.

Responsibilities

Provide high-quality surgical care with a surgical bias; competently perform standard emergency procedures and manage complex medical cases.

Contribute to a vibrant, forward-thinking clinical environment and strive for clinical excellence.

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to deliver outpatient and inpatient services, including emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, imaging, hydrotherapy, and rehabilitation.

Qualifications

Experienced veterinary surgeon with a surgical bias; competent in standard emergency procedures and complex case management.

Interest in laparoscopic surgery is beneficial but not essential.

Committed to clinical excellence and professional development in a team-oriented setting.

Up to £70,000 salary (dependent on experience/full-time equivalent)
