Utilities Manager – Louisville, KY
Salary: $84,915 – $141,525 with potential 10% bonus.
About the role Maintain all equipment, direct contractors; manage Powerhouse operators and utilities usage.
Responsibilities
Safety & Environmental Performance
– Lead safety effort, enforce compliance, maintain 0 accidents, identify high‑risk issues, adhere to SOPs, report to Environmental & Safety Manager.
Work Requirements
– Maintain equipment, design improvements, monitor utility usage daily, keep production running per G.M.P, lock‑out/tag‑out, hot‑work permits, be available for emergencies, assist others, be primary contact for contractors, prioritize jobs & implement reliability PM program.
Cost Control
– Use quality parts, reuse parts/equipment, maintain inventory control program.
About You
Mechanical aptitude.
Understanding of boilers, steam, compressed‑air systems, cooling towers, hydrogen production, vegetable‑oil production equipment, instrumentation, pumps, valves.
Knowledge of ammonia systems (plus).
5+ years in building maintenance, utility maintenance and operation.
Responsible for ordering parts and managing contractors for utilities.
In‑depth knowledge of utility systems (air compressors, water systems, HVAC, WWTP, chillers, boilers).
