In this role, you’ll lead projects from initial planning through design completion, managing client relationships, project teams, and technical execution for a variety of stormwater, drinking water and wastewater projects. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Manage projects, including scope, schedule, budget, and quality control.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, maintaining strong and responsive relationships.
Oversee and coordinate the work of engineering teams, subconsultants, and support staff.
Lead the preparation of public works project plans, specifications, reports, calculations, and permit applications.
Review and approve technical designs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and client requirements.
Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and participating in proposal development.
Facilitate meetings with clients, public agencies, and internal teams to discuss project progress and resolve challenges.
Mentor and develop junior engineers and project team members.
Monitor project performance and implement corrective actions when needed to maintain project goals.
Stay current with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to provide innovative solutions.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
6+ years of experience in civil engineering.
Professional Engineer (PE) license in Washington, or the ability to obtain it within 6 months.
Proven experience managing project budgets, schedules, and multidisciplinary teams.
Strong knowledge of local development codes, standards, and permitting processes.
Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D and other industry-related design software.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to build trusted relationships with clients, colleagues, and public agency staff.
Preferred Qualifications
8+ years of progressive project management experience.
Experience working with both public and private sector clients in water resource disciplines (drinking water, wastewater, and/or stormwater).
Established relationships with local municipalities and reviewing agencies.
Business development experience, including proposal writing and client presentations.
Strong mentoring skills with the ability to lead and develop junior staff.
Experience with project management software tools (such as Microsoft Project, Deltek Ajera, Deltek Vantagepoint or similar).

Salary and Benefits Please note that salary information is a general guideline and may vary based on candidate experience and qualifications. The wage range for this position is $125,000 - $150,000 per year, depending on experience.
