Position Summary
The Drone Delivery team is seeking a highly motivated and data-driven Senior Manager, Automation Engineering– Drone Delivery Operations to lead the standardization and scaling of operational practices across our autonomous drone delivery network. This role complements partner-specific managers by owning cross-partner processes, tooling, and performance frameworks that ensure consistent execution, compliance, and customer experience across all service providers.
You will work closely with store operations, product, program, and partner teams to design and implement operational systems that support expansion, improve reliability, and drive continuous improvement. This role is central to enabling scalable, high-performing drone delivery through strategic process design and cross-functional collaboration.

What you’ll do
Design and standardize operational processes across drone service providers, including developing and maintaining SOPs, playbooks, and protocols to ensure consistent execution, safety, and compliance; identify bottlenecks and optimize workflows; translate frontline needs into scalable requirements for product, program, and service teams.
Enable cross-partner execution and readiness by supporting onboarding, training, and documentation for store teams and drone partners.
Develop and deploy operational tools that support daily execution, performance tracking, and compliance.
Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement by tracking KPIs (such as delivery success rates, drone utilization, and incident rates across partners). Lead cross-partner reviews with data analysts to drive accountability and metric adoption.
Collaborate across functions and communicate effectively with partner managers and cross-functional stakeholders to align operational processes with strategic initiatives; support internal and external communications and keep stakeholders informed about changes, programs, and events impacting drone delivery operations.
What you’ll bring
Proven experience designing and scaling operational processes across multiple vendors or service providers
Excellent written and verbal communication, including polished presentations and detailed reporting
Experience in eCommerce, transportation, or autonomous delivery preferred
Comfort with ambiguity and fast-paced environments, with a bias toward action and continuous improvement

The annual salary range for this position is $110,000.00-$220,000.00. Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance bonuses. Additional compensation for certain positions may also include: Stock.
Minimum Qualifications
Option 1: Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field and 4 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
Option 2: 6 years’ experience in Engineering, supply chain, or a related area.
2 years’ supervisory experience.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Computer Engineering.
