The Effectors Electro-Optics Subsystems Department at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ is currently searching for a ***Senior Optical Integration Engineer*****,** with strong optical system integration and test skills to be the Electro-optics Technical lead

for the Javelin Portfolio, with specific focus for the Light Weight Command Launch Unit (LWCLU) and Missile Development and Production.

The Technical Lead will work closely with all disciplines associated with missile production including Program Management, Chief Engineers, Quality, Supply Chain and Production Operations to ensure the technical integrity of our products is maintained and performs as intended every time.

The Technical Lead’s knowledge base will be used to lead and/or support failure investigations, obsolescence redesigns, factory escapes, supplier issues and much more.

The ability to calmly but quickly review and analyze information and make decisions and/or recommendations is critical in this role.

This leadership role drives technical and programmatic excellence as part of the program team. The Technical Lead will be part of a dynamic and multidisciplined development team, providing leadership and establishing a vision to inspire the team to exceed program objectives. The position requires a strong engineering development background and collaboration across internal teams. This role also involves close collaboration with the other Team Leads and Chief Engineering leadership to address programmatic concerns, ensure adherence to schedules, budgets, and technical objectives, and deliver compliant solutions to customers while fostering strong stakeholder relationships.Leadership of integration activities including technical responsibilities Work with suppliers and customers for procuring and demonstrating capabilities in lab or field environments.Qualifications You Must Have: Typically requires a Bachelor of Science in Optics, Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Physics or related Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum 6 years of experience in optical design, system integration and test, or data analysis, or lead of integration activities.Experience with LWCLU Optical Design, Assembly and TestExperience with the Fusion Test Environment Experience in modelling and drawings in Creo Parametric.Experience in drawing release and cPDM processes.The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance prior to the start date. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.Qualifications We Prefer:Interpersonal skills with the ability to interact positively with peers, suppliers, management, and customers in a production environment Proven experience in balancing engineering process discipline and innovation for rapid development and program success Experience writing C++ code Experience with EO test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control EO sensor integration and verification experience Working knowledge and exposure to laboratory measurement equipment or techniques for optics, detectors, and EO/IR subsystems data Familiarity with production test processes and test problem report disposition Ability to develop and present technical briefingsExperience in troubleshooting investigations and processes Experience leading failure investigation teams Experience with test equipment, test automation scripting, test conduction, sensor control
