Job Title: Muller Engineering Co., Inc. — Stormwater Design Engineer Location: Lakewood, CO 80226 (Hybrid schedule; relocation supported). Muller Engineering is a leading civil engineering firm dedicated to designing sustainable solutions that shape our communities. We are seeking passionate individuals to join our stormwater team as Design Engineers to contribute to impactful stormwater improvement projects for state and local agencies. Education: Bachelor's Degree Responsibilities
Develop innovative stormwater improvement designs, including urban stream restoration, culverts, storm drains, detention facilities, water quality features, and erosion and sediment control planning. Conduct hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, geomorphic evaluations, floodplain studies, and scour analyses to ensure robust project outcomes. Assist in obtaining environmental permits and ensure regulatory compliance. Collaborate with colleagues and technicians, provide guidance, and ensure accurate implementation of designs. Prepare construction drawings using AutoCAD Civil 3D and occasionally Bentley ORD, create construction quantities, specifications, technical reports, and guide the work of technicians. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering (or a closely related field) from an accredited college or university; Master’s Degree is a plus. 0-1 years of experience with focus on design of stormwater improvements. Exposure to hydrologic and hydraulic computer programs (HEC-RAS, SRH2D/SMS, CUHP, SWMM, culvert/open channel design tools) and utilization of MHFD criteria desired. Experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D preferred and experience with MicroStation/ORD a plus. Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively convey technical information and collaborate within a team. Detail-oriented and self-motivated professional with exceptional organizational skills. Licenses and Certifications
Required License or Certification: Compensation
Salary Range: $70,000/yr - $85,000/yr
and is dependent on individual education, experience, and qualifications.
