Base Pay Range
$140,000.00/yr - $220,000.00/yr
The Role
We're looking for a Hardware Engineer with a focus on embedded systems and robotics. In this hands‑on role, you’ll design and prototype rugged data collection devices that operate in real agricultural environments. You’ll collaborate across hardware, firmware, and cloud teams to ensure reliable, high‑quality data acquisition.
Responsibilities
- Design and iterate sensor assemblies (cameras, GNSS, IMUs, environmental sensors)
- Integrate compute modules and manage high‑throughput, synchronized sensor data
- Develop robust enclosures and mounting systems for field deployments
- Characterize sensor performance in varied, outdoor conditions
- Create test protocols to ensure data quality and hardware reliability
- Support deployment, troubleshooting, and iteration in the field
- Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (hardware, software, cloud)
Qualifications
- Experience developing embedded or robotics hardware in real‑world environments
- Knowledge of multi‑sensor integration and synchronization
- Familiarity with ruggedization and power/thermal management for outdoor systems
- Comfort working across mechanical, electrical, and firmware domains
- Proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with ownership mentality
- Experience with GNSS + IMU fusion or stereo vision
- Knowledge of CAD and PCB design
- Background in field robotics, agricultural tech, or outdoor embedded systems
