Join Power Home Remodeling as an HR Generalist to support a thriving workplace culture and shape people strategy at the territory level.
Position Summary
Lead People functions including onboarding, compliance, policy and culture at the territory level, partnering with Territory Leadership to execute Power’s People Division strategy.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
- Partner with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy, including recruiting, retention and succession planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date people files, records and documentation, reviewing daily for compliance.
- Facilitate pre‑onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs.
- Process HRIS (Nitro) errors: Hire, Change Job, Term.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and keep up‑to‑date with employment legislation.
- Handle employment related inquiries for applicants, employees and managers, referring complex matters to appropriate staff.
- Conduct background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Plan, communicate and facilitate new hire orientation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state and local employment laws and best‑practice policies.
- Stay current on trends, best practices, regulatory changes and new technologies in People Resources and employment law.
- Support initiatives that enhance organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills & Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism and diplomacy.
- Strong business acumen to drive effective HR collaboration.
- Strong change management skills and ability to guide others through change.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Apple iWork Suite.
- Quick learner of HRIS and similar computer applications.
Education & Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 3‑5 years of HR experience preferred.
- Prior related HR experience preferred.
Required Licenses & Certifications
- SHRM CP/SCP preferred.
