Position Summary
This role serves as a trusted advisor to employees, fostering a positive workplace culture and ensuring alignment with best practices and legal requirements.
Job Responsibilities
- Manage the integrity and confidentiality of human resources files and records.
- Partner with Territory Leadership to understand and execute Power’s People Division and talent strategy, particularly as it relates to current and future talent needs, recruiting, retention, and succession planning.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date people files, records, and documentation.
- Review people files and records daily to ensure documents are accurately completed, filed appropriately, and meet compliance standards.
- Facilitate pre‑onboarding and onboarding system entries and new hire MVRs when applicable.
- Process HRIS (Nitro) errors: Hire, Change Job, Term.
- Ensure adherence to labor laws and regulations, keeping up-to-date with changes in employment legislation.
- Handle employment‑related inquiries for applicants, employees, and managers; refer complex and/or sensitive matters to appropriate staff.
- Conduct or acquire background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
- Plan, communicate, and facilitate new hire orientation.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in People Resources, Talent Management, and employment law.
- Support initiatives aimed at enhancing organizational effectiveness and employee satisfaction.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to organizational projects and initiatives.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills And Abilities
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.
- Strong ability to build business acumen to drive effective HR collaboration.
- Strong ability to manage change and guide others through it.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Apple iWork Suite.
- Proficient with the ability to quickly learn a human resource information system (HRIS) and similar computer applications.
Education And Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Associate or Bachelor Degree preferred.
- 3‑5 years of experience preferred.
- Prior related HR experience preferred.
Required Licenses And Certifications
- SHRM CP/SCP preferred.

Work Environment
- This position works in an office environment and not a remote position.
- Moderate travel may be required.
