Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions as assigned. Clean and sanitize resident rooms and recreational areas, maintain floors, carpets, walls, ceilings, windows, and mirrors. Discard waste properly and store tools and supplies safely. Ensure the facility is clean, safe, and comfortable.

Responsibilities

• Clean and polish furnishings, fixtures, and room heating/cooling units.
• Sanitize bathroom fixtures and remove water marks.
• Clean windows/mirrors in resident rooms, recreational areas, bathrooms, and entrance/exit ways.
• Maintain floors: sweeping, dusting, damp/wet mopping, stripping, waxing, buffing, disinfecting.
• Clean carpets: vacuuming, shampooing, deodorizing, and disinfecting.
• Clean walls and ceilings by washing, wiping, dusting, spot cleaning, disinfecting, deodorizing.
• Remove dirt, dust, grease, film from surfaces using proper cleaning/disinfecting solutions.
• Clean hallways, stairways, and elevators.
• Discard waste/trash into proper containers and reline trash receptacle with plastic liner.
• Clean vacant rooms as assigned.
• Ensure areas are clean and that tools, supplies, etc., are stored properly at all times.
• Assure the facility is maintained in a clean, safe, and comfortable manner.
