We are seeking a dynamic Accounting Manager to lead our financial operations and drive the success of our organization. Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and manage the monthly financial close for corporate entities and self-storage properties.
- Prepare and review monthly journal entries, reconciliations, and consolidated financial statements to ensure compliance with financial reporting standards.
- Collaborate with the Controller to enhance treasury and accounts payable functions, developing procedures and internal controls that drive efficiency.
- Lead training programs for new and existing staff, identifying and addressing skill gaps to strengthen the accounting team.
- Coordinate with external auditors during annual audits, providing necessary documentation and insights.
- Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and ensure timely filing of tax returns and regulatory compliance.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring high-quality outcomes and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
Must-Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
- 5-7 years of accounting experience, with a preference for real estate and fund accounting.
- CPA certification preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with ERP systems such as SAP or NetSuite.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, with a detail-oriented approach.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Nice-to-Have:
- Experience with acquisition integration and revenue recognition (ASC-742).
- Demonstrated ability to work independently and manage multiple projects autonomously.
