Techgene Solutions is hiring an Accounting Specialist / Financial Compliance Analyst located in Tallahassee, FL.

Key Responsibilities

• Verify deposits and disbursements related to state, federal, and student financial aid or loan programs.
• Perform weekly and monthly fund reconciliations to ensure data accuracy and compliance.
• Conduct compliance reviews for nonpublic post‑secondary institutions.
• Prepare, update, and maintain OSFA procedures and training manuals.
• Collaborate effectively with internal teams and work independently when required.
• Use Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel, Word, and Access, for reporting and data management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Bachelor of Science in Accounting or Community College Accounting Certificate (required).
• Professional business office experience: 2+ years (required).
• Auditing and invoicing experience: 1+ year (required).
• Fund reconciliation experience: 1+ year (required).
• Compliance review experience for nonpublic post‑secondary institutions: 1+ year (required).
• Accounting experience using FLAIR or FLPALM: 6+ months (highly desired).
• Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, etc.) proficiency: 1+ year (required).
• Language: Ability to speak and understand English (required).

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of FLAIR or FLPALM accounting systems.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation.
• Familiarity with state financial aid and compliance procedures.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
