Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled IT Support Technician to provide end-user support and equipment setup for a municipal organization. This role includes deskside and remote technical support, device imaging and deployment, software configuration, and assistance with ongoing IT projects. The position is onsite and will play a key role in maintaining day-to-day IT operations during an active office relocation. Ideal candidates will have strong troubleshooting skills, excellent communication abilities, and experience with Windows environments and Microsoft 365.

Salary: $25 – 30 per hour
Work hours: 8am to 5pm

Responsibilities
- Provide deskside and remote support for desktops, laptops, printers, and other end-user devices
- Set up and configure new workstations and peripherals
- Troubleshoot issues related to Microsoft Office Suite, Windows OS, and common business applications
- Reimage and deploy computers using standard tools and processes
- Support end users with VPN and remote access connectivity
- Install and configure software applications as required
- Respond to help desk tickets and phone-based support requests in a timely manner
- Assist with IT-related logistics during office moves (equipment relocation, reconfiguration, workstation setups)
- Participate in ongoing IT initiatives and special projects as needed (e.g., OneDrive migration, application upgrades, system rollouts)
Qualifications
- Prior experience in IT support or help desk roles
- Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
- Familiarity with Windows OS, Microsoft 365, and Active Directory
- Experience with device imaging and deployment tools (e.g., SCCM, Intune)
- Relevant IT certification preferred (e.g., CompTIA A , Microsoft Certified)
- Willingness to work occasional overtime as needed
