Position Summary
The Senior Manager, Clinical Programs on the CKD Model of Care team will be a pivotal leader in DaVita’s efforts to provide integrated kidney care (IKC) to patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD). This role focuses on developing and implementing the CKD care model strategy to operators to achieve Total Cost of Care (TCOC) reduction goals while driving optimal patient outcomes and value-based arrangements.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Supports the identification and development of strategic opportunities for how the CKD program can create clinical and financial value.
Evaluates the performance of current initiatives to identify new opportunities for iteration, improvement, and scaling.
Oversees the design and execution of complex and innovative clinical pilot programs, including managing timelines, budgets, stakeholder engagement, and feedback loops for continuous improvement.
Partners with and influences local operators and clinical leadership to ensure successful deployment and adoption of new initiatives.
Develops and presents compelling, data-driven narratives and recommendations to senior and executive leadership.
Qualifications And Experience
Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Experience:
4+ years of progressive experience in healthcare strategy, program management, or related fields.
Project engagement experience with clinical operations or clinical teams.
Significant experience leading and influencing cross-functional project teams; direct people management experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated success designing, implementing, and scaling strategic healthcare initiatives.
Proven experience managing the full lifecycle of clinical pilot programs, from design and development to implementation and iteration.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Specialized Knowledge
Deep understanding of value-based care models, including Medicare Advantage (MA) and quality metrics such as STARs and HEDIS.
Experience with clinical program design for new or expanding service lines, particularly those involving Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs), is highly desirable.
Strong financial acumen with experience in budget management and navigating partner or vendor relationships.
