Job Purpose The role is accountable for driving the end to end digitisation of marketing in the Business unit. This role leads the plan for landing capabilities that power the E2E marketing workflow, consumer engagement, innovation, and marketing performance, including expanding the use of AI and automation, partnering closely with the BU Marketing leaders and Product teams to drive user centricity, and to embed and land the value from Digital & Technology capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
Main point of contact to BU marketing leadership and senior GDT stakeholders
Create and execute strategies that leverage digital technologies, AI, and automation to enhance marketing efforts.
Own E2E Digital & Technology change roadmap for BU. Partner with business and product owners on adoption and business value realization
Ensure alignment of marketing analytics, AI and technology initiatives with business unit objectives.
Own collation of status and reporting to senior executives (NALT, Transformation Office & SteerCo)
Accountable for the digitization of marketing, leading the E2E Digital & Technology plan for marketing in the business unit on behalf of the BU CDIO
Prioritizes and aligns the plan, outcomes and timelines with business unit marketing leadership across products
Drives benefits and adoption with the business unit marketing team and products
Drives local stakeholder engagement and feedback prioritization, advocating for user centricity and continuous improvement
Accountable for business unit marketing sign‑off and validation of products
Lead business deployment of BU specific or BU tailored products, working closely with deployment team to ensure outcome delivery
Acts as first point of contact for BU Marketing leaders and escalation point into GDT, resolving risks, issues and questions
Advocate for the adoption of innovative tools and practices to maintain a competitive edge.
Suggests opportunities for leverage of AI and Automation to drive productivity, growth or operational effectiveness
Create and implement new processes and governance that improve ways of working for GDT and BU marketing function as it relates to Digital & Technology capabilities
Necessary Experience & Qualifications
Leading edge / fully operational Change Management experience required.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree is required / Master’s degree preferred
10+ years’ of relevant experience
Senior Management networking experience within large multi-layered organization
Experience leveraging digital technologies within a complex organizational matrix
Excellent communication and follow up skills throughout the layers of Unilever organization
Integrated Business Planning experience with an understanding of multi-year plans and Implementations
Preferred Qualifications
Digital acumen – experience delivering digital technologies into large businesses – including but not limited to AI Agents, GenAI, Automation, Social Listening, Creative Asset Generation and Review, Workflow Management, Analytics, Content Marketing, Knowledge Management and Data Management
Business acumen – understanding of the business unit, marketing, and media
Strong leadership, influencing and stakeholder management skills
Program management to ensure delivery of outcomes across many workstreams
Pay The pay range for this position is $141,680 to $212,520.
Bonus & LTI This position is bonus eligible. This position is LTI eligible.
