JOB SUMMARY
Employee will be responsible for driving company van for the pick-up and delivery of customer units within the state of Texas. May be expected to use a forklift to put away or retrieve unit inventory. Responsibilities also include general shipping and receiving duties, including customer units and parts; maintaining customer and Odyssey unit inventory stored in the warehouse; issuing of parts to Technicians and Assemblers; inventory control; parts kitting; and facilities maintenance.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma
Two years of experience in logistics, warehouse shipping and receiving.
Any equivalent combination of education and experience can be considered.
Must have a valid driver’s license by date of hire.
Driving and Forklift experience is preferred.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Employee must have a high, quality work ethic and aptitude. Computer skills and the ability to adapt to new software or inventory system requirements is a must to be successful in this position.
Customer unit and part/component knowledge are expected to be acquired skills as the employee gains experience at Odyssey.
Clean driving record required if driving the company van. Forklift Training Certificate required if driving forklift. SHIPPING AND RECEIVING Accurately receiving customer units using Odyssey’s software (NetSuite). Accurately packing and shipping customer units using required logistics partner and Odyssey’s software (NetSuite). Utilizing general material handling equipment, such as forklifts, packing systems and other equipment. Performing inventory counts of customer units, Odyssey-owned units, and shipping related items, as required. PARTS ROOM Accurately receiving and issuing parts using Odyssey’s inventory software (NetSuite). Demonstrating inventory management practices. Working with and identifying various electronic parts and components. GENERAL Following internal procedures, work instructions, inventory systems, and Safety Awareness at all times. Following all procedures, safety requirements, logging duties related to driving the Odyssey van. Working with a high emphasis on attention to detail. Working well as a team to accomplish daily tasks. Other non-specific duties and responsibilities a Lead or Supervisor may require of the employee.
