About the Job We are seeking a highly experienced and detail-oriented Architectural Designer or Registered Architect to join our team in a key Construction Administration (CA) role for a major project in Miami, Florida. The project is a 41‑story office tower located in the heart of the Brickell Financial District. Designed to be one of the most sustainable office buildings in the world, the tower will meet the highest international standards for sustainable construction and energy efficiency.
This role requires the individual to be based in the Miami area but will report to and have the support of our team in New York. The individual will have the option to work from home or from the office of one of our partnering firms and will be required to visit the site on at least a weekly basis.
Key Responsibilities
Review and process shop drawings and track open and priority items for review
Review samples, substitutions, and mock‑ups for use in the project
Prepare sketches and supplemental documentation in response to contractor RFIs or design/coordination changes
Conduct site visits and attend owner/architect/contractor meetings
Assemble field observation reports and track open issues
Participate in coordination meetings
Coordinate documentation and review project data for compliance with applicable codes and standards
Qualifications
Professional degree in Architecture
Minimum 10 years of architectural experience, including at least 5 years focused on Construction Administration for high‑rise buildings with complex systems
Must have experience with Revit, AutoCAD, Bluebeam Revu, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and MS Office
Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment with multiple, tight deadlines and work on various tasks concurrently
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Highly organized and detail‑oriented team‑player
Strong critical thinking skills and ability to carry out the design concept to realization
Familiarity with Florida building codes
Support Business Development initiatives
