Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer Join Jacobs to apply for the Senior Mechanical HVAC Engineer role.

Base Pay Range $123,600.00 – $162,300.00 per year.

Responsibilities

Perform field investigations, interface with clients & vendors.

Sizing and selecting HVAC equipment.

Layout and design of HVAC systems.

Develop design criteria for HVAC systems, including comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and cleanliness requirements for clean room applications.

Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations related to sizing and selecting HVAC systems, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.

Develop final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for systems such as chilled water and cooling water.

Coordinate with other disciplines.

Qualifications

Professional Engineering License.

At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.

Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC design.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Ideal Qualifications

Experience with Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.

Experience in designing plumbing/utility systems.
