Base pay range: $123,600.00/yr - $162,300.00/yr.

We are looking for an experienced, high‑energy HVAC Engineer to join our Building Mechanical team and help deliver innovative HVAC design solutions for our heavy industrial clients. You will work alongside engineers and designers performing field investigations, interfacing with clients & vendors, sizing and selecting equipment, and preparing construction design packages.

Responsibilities

Layout and design of HVAC systems.

Development of the design criteria for HVAC systems, including comfort heating and cooling, accurate temperature or humidity control, unique pressurization requirements, and cleanliness requirements for clean room applications.

Develop conceptual design and preliminary design documents, including calculations for sizing and selection, Air Flow Diagrams (AFDs), Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and general arrangements.

Develop final design documents including specifications, sequences of operation, duct/piping layout, and final construction documents for chilled water, cooling water, etc.

Coordinate with other disciplines.

Qualifications

Professional Engineering License.

At least ten (10) years of experience in the design of HVAC systems for industrial facilities.

Thorough knowledge of codes and standards related to HVAC system design.

Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical Engineering.

Adaptability to work within a fast‑paced team environment with multiple deadlines.

Ability to lead a building mechanical team on a project and collaborate with other discipline team members remotely.

Preferred Experience

Software experience in Revit, Carrier HAP, Trane Trace 700, and Trane Trace 3D.

Experience in the design of plumbing/utility systems.
