Job Description: Onondaga Community College is seeking an adjunct instructor for its Business Administration program to teach BUS-219 Business Statistics I. The course covers descriptive and inferential statistics, including frequency distributions, graphs, measures of central tendency and dispersion, probability, probability distributions, sampling theory, estimation, and hypothesis testing (mean, proportions). The use of computer software and a statistical calculator is required. The adjunct instructor will handle all aspects of course preparation, instruction, and classroom management, including LMS integration, content delivery, grading, student inquiries, and student performance assessment based on learning objectives. Requirements: Minimum Qualifications: MBA or MS in Mathematics from a regionally accredited institution or foreign equivalent. Preferred Qualifications: Prior college-level teaching experience in Statistics. Experience with D2L Brightspace or similar LMS platforms. Additional Information: Applicants should submit a resume and cover letter, including their availability to teach. Three professional references are required, including at least one current or former supervisor. Finalists will be contacted before reference checks. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background check, and official transcripts are required upon hire. Application Instructions: The adjunct pay rate for the 2025-2026 academic year is $1,483 per credit hour. Assignments depend on enrollment and are made as needed.
