Job Description Under supervision, this position functions as the Lead Plumber and provides day-to-day oversight which includes: assigning, coordinating & scheduling day-to-day work for the plumbing shop; acting as liaison between shop personnel, supervisor, customers, EH&S, Facilities Planning & Management, FE Director, outside contractors, and tradesmen. Maintains labor and material records, issues purchase orders and prepares estimates as required. Communicates work order revisions, delays, or other problems to the Supervisor or Director. May inspect and coordinate work of outside contractors. Participates in budget preparation and review. Performs skilled journeyman tasks in the operation, testing, calibrating, troubleshooting, repair and full-range maintenance of the plumbing distribution systems and medical gases. Repairs or replaces defective plumbing parts on all systems.
Minimum Qualifications
Must hold valid driver's license, have a driving record that is in accordance with local policies / procedures, and / or enroll in the California Employer Pull Notice Program.
Must have facilities engineering experience and plumbing trade experience in a healthcare setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Healthcare Environment Experience.
Special Conditions
Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.
Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.
Pay Transparency Act Annual Full Pay Range: $113,796 - $113,796 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%).
Hourly Equivalent: $54.50 - $54.50.
Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
