Oversee all aspects of accounting and finance for church with private pre-school and mother’s day out program, as well as a documentary & podcast production non-profit. Certified public accountant preferred.
Accounting responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Donation revenue recognition
Tuition revenue recognition
Pledge & capital campaign revenue recognition and tracking restricted fund balances
Monthly bank, credit card, and merchant services reconciliations
Accounts payable processing and expense documentation
Recording payroll transactions in the general ledger
Investigating and reconciling discrepancies in accounts receivable and payable, as well as payroll
Preparing and making bank deposits, as well as preparing statements for review; and
Auditing purchase orders and invoices.
This positions duties also include:
Prepare monthly, quarterly & year-end financial reports for board.
Maintain accurate records, including journals, ledgers, receipts, and invoices.
Ensure compliance with non-profit Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Prepare for and participate in yearly financial audit.
Manage HR policies and procedures.
Oversee onboarding, compensation, and benefits for all staff.
Oversee payroll, including retirement plan. Review quarterly & year-end payroll tax filings.
Prepare and issue vendor 1099s.
Minimum 2 years Quickbooks Online experience preferred.
Non-profit experience is preferred.
