Position Highlights

New Graduate Registered Nurse, Residency

Department: Pediatric Acute Care Unit

Location: Brenner Children’s Hospital, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist-Winston‑Salem, NC

Shift Schedule: Full‑time (36 hours weekly), Night Shift, (7pm‑7am) with weekend rotation

What You’ll Need

Graduation from accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred.

Registered Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina Board of Nursing

Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines

How You’ll Impact Patient Care As a skilled and compassionate RN, you will play a pivotal role in our healthcare team, leading the coordination of patient care from assessment to evaluation. Job Responsibilities

Patient/Family Centered Care:

Utilize the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, placing patients and their families at the center of every decision. Conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care to promote optimal health and wellbeing in accordance with the policies of WFBH.

Patient Discharge & Referrals:

Participates in multidisciplinary discharge planning referrals to hospital and community resources as needed.
