RN, Pediatric Emergency Department, Nights – Join our team as a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist. This is a full-time, night-shift role based at Brenner Children’s Hospital in Winston-Salem, NC. Responsibilities
Patient/Family Centered Care:
Use the nursing process to deliver compassionate care, conduct thorough assessments, develop nursing diagnoses, identify outcomes, plan interventions, and coordinate care in accordance with hospital policies. Patient Discharge & Referrals:
Participate in multidisciplinary discharge planning and referrals to hospital and community resources as needed. Safe, Therapeutic, and Healing Environment:
Create a secure and healing environment, protect patient privacy, and promote professional behavior; utilize technology and equipment to enhance safety. Effective Communication:
Demonstrate excellent communication to foster teamwork and information sharing across the continuum of care; participate in shared governance and professional practice initiatives. Professional Growth and Accountability:
Engage in peer review, professional development, and adherence to care standards; practice autonomously with critical thinking and accountability for actions. Patient Advocacy:
Act as a patient advocate throughout the continuum of care, including community settings. Care Management and Clinical Prioritization:
Apply care management principles to coordinate efficient care and identify priorities for continuous improvement of patient outcomes. Promotion of Healthy Work Environment:
Contribute to a healthy work environment and professional practice model through participation in governance and personal development. What You’ll Need
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing; BSN preferred. RN licensure in the State of North Carolina. Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) required. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines. Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) required within 1 year of hire, per unit guidelines. What We Offer
