Accounts Receivable Manager

Leesburg, Virginia (3 days in office)

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. CPA or CMA preferred.
5+ years of experience in accounts receivable or credit management, including 2+ years in a supervisory or managerial role.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP) and AR best practices.
Proficiency in ERP/accounting software (e.g., Oracle, SAP, NetSuite) and Microsoft Excel.
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem‑solving skills.
Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions.
Job Description
Lead, mentor, and manage the accounts receivable team, ensuring adherence to policies, accuracy, and efficiency.
Oversee daily AR operations including invoicing, collections, cash application, and account reconciliations.
Monitor aging reports, proactively manage past‑due accounts, and resolve customer billing or payment issues.
Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and internal controls.
Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, and other departments to resolve disputes and support customer inquiries.
Prepare AR‑related reports for management, including cash flow forecasts, aging analyses, and performance metrics.
Implement process improvements to increase efficiency, reduce errors, and optimize collections.
Assist with month‑end close activities, ensuring accurate AR balances and journal entries.
Support audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to accounts receivable.
