Position Specific Description This position serves as a senior scrum master specializing in IT operations encompassing
cybersecurity, grid control infrastructure, and critical operational systems. The role
requires balancing agile methodologies with traditional project management approaches
to optimize technology solutions and business outcomes while supporting NextEra's
operational resilience and regulatory compliance strategy for critical infrastructure
protection.
IT Infrastructure Operations Project Delivery:
Lead delivery of projects including network
infrastructure modernization, grid control system support, and operational optimization/
monitoring enhancement. Support strategic efforts including NERC CIP compliance
initiatives, infrastructure hardening, and operational technology (OT) integration using
hybrid project management approaches.
Agile Leadership & Hybrid Project Management: Facilitate scrum ceremonies while
adapting traditional project management elements for complex infrastructure initiatives.
Guide development teams delivering cybersecurity solutions: threat detection frameworks,
compliance automation tools, and security monitoring systems. Balance agile practices
with regulatory requirements for NERC CIP compliance and grid control infrastructure
projects
Stakeholder Management & Performance Optimization: Collaborate with operations
teams to manage backlogs for IT infrastructure services targeting enhanced system
reliability and security posture. Facilitate transparent communication between teams
delivering infrastructure solutions, cybersecurity operations, and business representatives.
Support Voice of Customer initiatives by incorporating operational feedback into
infrastructure and security product development cycles.
Preferred Qualifications
Agile certifications:
CSM, CSPO, PSM, CSP, PMI-ACP, SAFe SPC, or ITIL
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
Strong leadership abilities with demonstrated success in complex infrastructure delivery environments
Experience or understanding of with industry technology, frameworks, NERC CIP compliance, and grid control systems
Knowledge of operational technology (OT) integration and critical infrastructure protection requirements
Network infrastructure, modernization and operational monitoring experience
Experience: 6+ years in agile methodologies, scrum master roles, or enterprise technology project management with focus on infrastructure or cybersecurity
Proven experience with IT operations technologies, networking frameworks, and critical infrastructure management.
Understanding of both agile and traditional project management approaches for complex technology initiatives

Job Duties & Responsibilities
Organizes and facilitates work planning, daily stand-up meetings, reviews, retrospectives, and sprint and release planning
Facilitates collaboration for both internal and external teams, resolving conflict, removing impediments, and reducing external dependencies
Coaches team members and stakeholders in preparation for Scrum ceremonies and events and in goal attainment
Coaches team in Agile sizing techniques, makes appropriate and realistic commitments, and works closely with Product Owners
Uses the Collaborative Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool to prepare, communicate, and share team metrics and delivery results
Creates a product roadmap, coaches the writing of value-driven user stories, features, and epics, and maintains a well-refined backlog
Provides regular feedback to the Agile Transformation Team about new insights and lessons learned from team experiences
Embraces servant leadership and displays behaviors that come with the key mindset shifts associated with being Agile
Keeps informed and educated about industry trends concerning Agile methodologies
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
