Windows Systems Administrator

responsible for provisioning, installation, configuration, operation, and maintenance of all FCCC/Civitek systems hardware, software, and related infrastructure. The role ensures systems adhere to organizational policies and enables ongoing innovation through technical research and development. Responsibilities

Manage day‑to‑day operations of host computer systems by monitoring performance, configuration, maintenance, and repair. Maintain accurate records of system downtime and equipment inventory. Apply firmware, software revisions, OS patches, and upgrades on a regular basis. Work with vendors to assist support activities and resolve issues. Develop new system/ application implementation plans, custom scripts, and testing procedures. Train technical staff on new software and hardware solutions. Ensure high availability and acceptable performance of mission‑critical host resources. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization. Manage installation/upgrades of system management, monitoring, and administrative tools. Configure and add new services as necessary. Conduct daily system monitoring, verifying integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, and key processes; review system/application logs. Oversee daily backup operations; ensure data is backed up, media recycled, and sent off‑site. Develop and enforce security procedures to protect systems from unauthorized use, natural events, and user abuse. Perform regular security monitoring, identify intrusions, and address concerns per FCCC/Civitek security policy. Research, suggest, and implement system changes—including OS updates, firmware upgrades, security patches, and networking enhancements. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures; coordinate communication with affected constituencies. Engineer solutions for various projects and operational needs; plan and test disaster response and continuity. Maintain operational, configuration, and procedural documentation. Provide Tier III and other customer support as requested. Investigate and troubleshoot issues; communicate findings clearly and professionally. Serve as a technical expert in complex operating systems. Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. 5+ years of related experience with Windows, Linux, Unix, and VMWare system administration. Strong knowledge of virtualization concepts, tools, configuration, and clustering. Experience with Microsoft Exchange, Azure, Office 365, and cloud technologies. Understanding of computer security and networking concepts. Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software, and networking issues. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Detail‑oriented, self‑motivated, and able to see projects through completion. Capability to work evenings, weekends, and with little advanced notice as required. Pay and Benefits
