Primary Purpose Responsible for overseeing the area of on‑campus housing, which includes the room assignment and billing of students, as well as the planning, marketing, coordination and implementation of all aspects of housing assignment processes for freshman, upper‑class, and graduate students.
Essential Job Functions
Oversees the processes and procedures for the Residential Management System in order to support students living on campus.
Serves as Banner and Residential Management System specialist.
Responsible for the billing and collections for student accounts.
Acts as a liaison with other University departments to assist in fulfilling the mission and goals of the Office of Residential Life and Housing.
Inputs the billing of student accounts for improper checkouts, lost keys, and other related fees relevant to the policies and procedures in the Residential Living Guide.
Implements cross‑training sessions for Area Coordinators and the Assistant Area Coordinators on RMS, (Residential Management System), Banner, Microsoft Office, and other work‑related needs.
Responsible for making and inputting room assignments for all students living on campus and providing monthly occupancy/revenue reports for the eight residence halls.
Develops and maintains the department's operation calendar.
Acts as point of contact for the appeal process of housing contact and meal disputes.
Inputs student scholarships for residents' assistants for the Office of Residential Life and Housing.
Prepares reports of the resident students living on campus and coordinates declining balance audits with the Campus Card Office and the Office of Business Services.
Participates in staff and professional development activities.
Assists the Assistant Dean of Student Services and Director of Residential Life and Housing, and Associate Director of Housing Services and/or other office staff, in special project assignments.
Supervises, schedules, hires and trains call center staff.
Supervises Accounts Coordinator for Housing and all programs and events related to housing operations.
Acts as the primary contact for the Student Employment Office in the absence of the Accounts Coordinator.
Serves as a university retention agent through interventions with students who are having difficulties in housing or contemplating leaving the university.
Performs other duties as assigned or required.

Strong understanding of database management.
Comprehensive knowledge and experience with database management and analysis.
Ability to utilize the Residential Management System (RMS) and Banner (Student Information System) to access student records and use information to relay policies and procedures.
Possesses enthusiasm for higher education and a commitment to the mission and goals of the university through their dedication to customer services.
Bachelor's Degree.
Four (4) years of experience, including supervisory experience working with complex occupancy systems, data analysis and forecasting.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's Degree in Higher Education, College Student Affairs or related field.
Four (4) years of experience including supervisory experience working within a PC environment that would include software experience with Crystal Reports, Microsoft Access, Word, and Excel.
Experience with the Residential Management System (RMS) is strongly preferred.
