Job Description Senior Regional Business Director – PI – West Region, you are responsible for meeting or exceeding regional sales targets through leading a team of Territory Business Managers. You will oversee the tactical and operational daily activities of the sales team in the region while coaching and empowering for continuous improvement. You will develop and drive the implementation of team strategies to ensure the attainment of regionally focused objectives for our business. Reporting to the National Head of PI Sales, you will lead a team of eight Territory Business Managers in the Plasma‑Derived Therapies Business Unit – Primary Immunodeficiency. These managers are responsible for calling on multiple physician specialties, including Allergy/Immunology, across California, Washington, Oregon, and Nevada.
Responsibilities
Experience leading launch excellence of new therapeutic options
Drive the implementation of brand strategies to achieve national objectives
Adapt national strategies based on regional business drivers and influencers
Understand the complexity of and lead a team through the channels and avenues that drive successful sales strategy in this environment
Plan, direct, and control the sales and business activities within the physician setting to attain sales volume, product mix, and profit objectives
Collaborate with Patient Services, Integrated Health Systems, Market Access, and National Accounts teams to establish strategic execution and pull-through of contract opportunities within each geography
Manage external collaboration with key specialty pharmacy partners to maximize opportunity and ensure market access to Takeda’s SCIG product portfolio
Prepare quarterly and annual regional forecasts and participate in the determination of market potential
Analyze and interpret data for effective sales strategies and good organization/time management skills
Deal with all major channel accounts to ensure customer satisfaction
Direct staffing, training, and performance evaluations
Partner with sales support and marketing in activities such as sales promotion and training
Minimum Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 10 years of proven healthcare sales experience; advanced degree preferred
Strong management experience in the healthcare or biotech field
Experience selling and leading within the physician setting, with a strong understanding of the environmental and market drivers of this customer segment
Excellent interpersonal, communication, negotiation, collaboration, and presentation skills
Experience creating and implementing annual sales budgets and forecasts
Business acumen and knowledge of sales processes, with strong leadership and decision‑making abilities
Ability to organize and maximize information on sales leads and integrate this into the strategic sales plan
Minimum 18 years of age, valid driver’s license, and acceptable driving record
Willingness to travel 50‑70%, including overnight and occasional weekend travel
Authorized to drive a company leased vehicle or rental
