Systems Engineer (Architecture & Design) – Early Career
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Systems Engineer. You will participate in design, development, integration, and testing of new capabilities for several Department of Defense products and technologies. You will use and contribute to models of real-world weapons, radars, and Command & Control systems, independently identify and address system and software defects, demonstrate sound systems and software engineering discipline, and decompose complex problems to formulate solutions.
In this role you will use model-based system engineering (MBSE) techniques to define, mature and maintain system architecture for both new and existing capabilities and generate artifacts such as requirements and SysML diagrams that enable development, execution, and assessment of capabilities.
The successful candidate will have experience and/or knowledge of SysML modeling tools, the analysis and decomposition of requirements, and techniques for identifying and defining a system architecture.
Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in a STEM field.
Minimum of 2 years related experience in system architecture definition, system/subsystem design, and requirements development.
Basic knowledge of Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and system architecture definition.
Ability to perform system architecture and design using SysML and modeling tools such as Rhapsody and Cameo.
Experience with requirements management tools such as DOORS, including decomposition and tracing.
Demonstrated written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to work in a collaborative and team-based environment.
Experience following Agile Development Process.
Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD security clearance at the SECRET level.
Position requires a government security clearance and is located at a facility that requires special access.
