Foster Garvey PC, a leading law firm in the Pacific Northwest, is looking for an experienced Senior Litigation Paralegal with 5+ years of experience in commercial civil litigation to join our Seattle office.
Job Description This is a full‑time non‑exempt position, Monday through Friday, with occasional overtime as needed for client requirements. After an initial 90‑day training period requiring five days per week in the office, the employee may work in a hybrid environment based on performance.
Responsibilities
Assist attorneys with all phases of civil litigation from case inception through trial and appeal
Develop case fact background, including interviewing witnesses and gathering evidence
Draft and prepare legal documents, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses
Organize and maintain case files, exhibits, and document productions in physical and electronic formats
Coordinate and manage discovery processes, including document review, privilege logs, and productions
Prepare trial notebooks, exhibit lists, witness files, and courtroom presentations
Schedule depositions, hearings, and court appearances; coordinate with opposing counsel and court personnel
Assist with electronic discovery (e‑discovery) processes and litigation support software
Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and expert witnesses
Handle confidential and sensitive information with discretion and professionalism
Skills
Broad computer knowledge and proficiency with Microsoft Office, web browsers, and related software
Electronic discovery experience and strong working knowledge of one or more e‑discovery platforms (Relativity preferred)
Strong attention to detail
Excellent organizational and project management skills – setting priorities, initiative, advance planning, and flexibility
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Knowledge of legal research techniques
Excellent interpersonal skills
Meets deadlines and manages time effectively

Education And Experience
Minimum 5 years of litigation experience with state and federal courts and/or administrative agencies, and a strong working knowledge of court rules and procedures
Bachelor's degree
ABA‑approved paralegal certificate preferred
Demonstrated experience with e‑discovery processes and document management
Continuing legal education (CLE) participation encouraged
