Our client, a dynamic and growing company in New York City, is seeking a
Financial Analyst
to support financial planning, analysis, and strategic decision-making across multiple business lines. This Financial Analyst role is ideal for someone who enjoys working cross-functionally, digging into data, and helping senior leadership translate financial insights into business impact.
Salary/Hourly Rate $90k - $120k plus Bonus
Position Overview The Financial Analyst will partner with business leaders to analyze financial results, budgets, and forecasts, build and maintain complex financial models, analyze KPIs and operational drivers, prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages, support cash flow and variance analyses, contribute to budgeting and long-range planning, and collaborate with Accounting during close cycles to ensure accuracy of reported results.
Responsibilities
Partner with business leaders to analyze financial results, budgets, and forecasts.
Build and maintain complex financial models to support strategic initiatives and planning.
Analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), margin trends, and operational drivers.
Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packages.
Support cash flow, capital expenditure, and variance analyses.
Contribute to budgeting, long-range planning, and ad hoc analytical projects.
Collaborate with Accounting during close cycles to ensure accuracy of reported results.
Required Experience/Skills
3 - 6 years of progressive financial analysis or FP&A experience.
Strong Excel and financial modeling skills (experience with Power BI or Tableau a plus).
Exposure to budgeting systems (Adaptive, Anaplan, or similar).
Detail-oriented with strong communication and presentation abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative, and evolving environment.
Preferred Experience/Skills
MBA or CPA designation a plus.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field.
