As a

Veterinary Talent Acquisition Specialist , you'll play a key role in helping our care teams grow by identifying and hiring exceptional support staff talent. You'll collaborate across departments, mentor others on best hiring practices, and ensure every candidate has a meaningful and positive experience with Petfolk.

Responsibilities

Recruitment & Sourcing: Lead full‑cycle recruitment — reviewing applications, conducting screens, sourcing proactively, and maintaining talent pipelines across multiple roles.

Hiring Partner: Build trusted relationships with hiring managers to understand talent needs, advise on strategy, and deliver a best‑in‑class hiring experience.

Culture Champion: Represent and amplify Petfolk's mission to strengthen the human–animal bond through better pet care, creating inclusive and engaging candidate experiences.

Candidate Experience: Manage candidates from first contact through onboarding, ensuring timely updates, transparent communication, and a positive impression of Petfolk.

Operational Excellence: Leverage technology and processes to drive efficiency, maintain accurate data in the ATS, and continuously improve recruiting workflows.

Employer Branding: Promote Petfolk through social media, career events, and other creative initiatives to attract top talent and build long‑term relationships with candidates.

Qualifications

Strong knowledge of veterinary medicine and operations.

Hands‑on clinical experience as a Licensed Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.

Proven experience in veterinary hospital management.

Demonstrated success recruiting veterinary support staff (Veterinary Technicians and Assistants).

Understanding of recruiting strategies, channels, and market dynamics within the veterinary field.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.

A proactive, solutions‑oriented mindset with the ability to make confident decisions.

Creativity and enthusiasm for innovative recruiting approaches.

Willingness to work on‑site at Petfolk's NYC headquarters.
