About the College Reynolds is one of the largest community colleges in Virginia and serves Virginia’s capital city and five nearby counties. Position Summary Reynolds Community College is seeking a

Talent Acquisition Specialist

to lead and support the college’s recruitment and onboarding processes. This position plays a key role in ensuring a positive candidate experience and providing expert guidance to college administrators throughout the employment process. The Talent Acquisition Specialist ensures compliance with EEO/AA, VCCS, and DHRM requirements in the advertisement, screening, referral, selection, and hiring of full‑time and part‑time faculty, classified staff, and wage/hourly positions, as well as processing tasks for work‑study personnel.

Key Responsibilities

Manage end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes for all employee classifications.

Advise hiring managers and administrators on recruitment strategies and compliance with employment regulations and institutional policies.

Maintain recruitment records and documentation in accordance with federal, state, and VCCS requirements.

Support continuous improvement in hiring practices and onboarding processes to promote equity, efficiency, and exceptional service.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Comprehensive knowledge of human resources principles and practices, including recruitment, selection, classification/compensation, and payroll operations.

Working knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations governing human resources functions.

Ability to interpret and apply policies and procedures, analyze data, and present findings clearly and effectively.

Proficiency in maintaining and generating reports from automated HR systems and databases.

Ability to work independently and provide guidance and direction to all levels of college staff regarding assigned work areas.

Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and exercise sound judgment in resolving workplace issues.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to explain complex HR information clearly.

Competency in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and other HR information systems.

Additional Considerations Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of knowledge and expertise with college, VCCS, and DHRM policies as it relates to college employment matters.

Travel Travel between college campuses, as needed.
