Stewarding Supervisor – JW Marriott Miami Turnberry Resort & Spa. Scope of Position

The Stewarding Supervisor supervises utility stewards and dishwashers to transport and clean cooking utensils and service ware, ensuring outstanding guest service. The role also maintains a safe and sanitary work environment, supports the Stewarding Manager and chefs, and anticipates equipment needs. Position Requirements

Professional demeanor appropriate for a luxury environment. Two years of stewarding/dishwashing experience (previous supervisor experience preferred). Knowledge of chemical handling, cleaning techniques, and use of equipment/machinery. Responsibilities

Supervise, support, and monitor utility stewards, dishwashers, and temporary associates. Supervise cleaning of work area and physical surroundings. Prepare equipment according to set‑up/event order sheets and support banquet needs. Ensure all food and equipment are delivered on time to all functions. Anticipate kitchen and restaurant service needs and ensure they are met. Maintain a clean, well‑organized kitchen/dish‑washing station. Schedule, assign daily work, inform, and train associates. Ensure compliance with state/local health department regulations. Adhere to SDS information and safe chemical use. Operate industrial dishwashers and manage chemical levels and inventory. Practice proper food handling, cleaning, and storage procedures. Perform any other reasonable duties as required by management. Education

High school diploma or GED. Skills and Abilities

Proficient in English; second language a plus. Ability to work flexible schedules, including holidays and weekends. Can handle high heat and moisture. Knowledge of basic food handling policies and sanitation standards. Physical Requirements

Fast‑paced environment and able to lift up to 100 pounds. Involves reaching, standing, walking, and bending throughout a shift. Seniority Level
