How You’ll Contribute Ensure secure, high-quality broadcast operations for government facilities, supporting uninterrupted delivery of live and recorded multimedia content. Responsibilities include signal management, stakeholder coordination, and workflows for acquiring, switching, monitoring, troubleshooting, archiving, and distributing content via CCTV, IP, fiber, and digital streaming systems. Operators may work under supervision or lead complex operations, mentor junior staff, and serve as technical liaisons, depending on level of experience.

What You’ll Do

Operate and monitor live broadcast transmission, recording, and streaming, resolving issues in real time for official meetings, briefings, and high-profile secure events.

Perform switching, graphics overlays, signal mixing, routing, duplication, format conversions, and media transfers.

Monitor and diagnose multiple concurrent live productions and incoming/outbound feeds, ensuring all technical elements operate seamlessly and resolve technical issues or elevate as needed.

Encode media for secure distribution and maintain digital archives.

Assist with post-production editing, audio mastering, color grading, advanced graphics integration, and captioning to meet broadcast standards.

Ensure secure encoding and delivery of final files for live and on-demand distribution across multiple approved platforms.

Coordinate with stakeholders and ensure timely content delivery.

Conduct preventive maintenance, maintain logs, and generate reports.

Follow SOPs, security protocols, and compliance requirements.

Operate and troubleshoot VTC systems; occasionally set up cameras/switchers for live events.

Mentor junior staff as applicable and recommend workflow improvements.

Work Schedule

Monday–Friday, flexible shifts (7:00 AM–9:00 PM)

On-call coverage for evenings, weekends, holidays.

Fully on-site at a secure federal facility in the Washington D.C. area.

What You’ll Bring Education & Certifications High School Diploma or Equivalent

Required Skills/Qualifications

Must have a minimum of active interim security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain active TS/SCI clearance.

2–7+ years in master control, broadcast, live production, or related AV technical roles.

Proficiency in signal flow, monitoring, switching, routing, and production tools.

Knowledge of SDI, HDMI, Dante, and IP-based standards; basic troubleshooting skills.

Flexible schedule, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

Must have a minimum of active interim security clearance and ability to obtain/maintain active TS/SCI clearance.
