Our client is a mid-sized technology consulting and procurement company specializing in the resale of value-added software. They provide clients with tools needed to accurately design and maintain architecture and engineering projects, along with expert-level client support. Position Overview
Our client is seeking an Accountant to support day-to-day GL management, transactional accounting, and the long-term financial success of the organization. The Senior will work with a Junior Accountant and additional staff within AP, AR, and Payroll. This position will report to the Corporate Controller and serve as an individual contributor for the time being. This position is hybrid remote with three days onsite in Irvine. Essential Functions
Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and prepare journal entries, including depreciation of fixed assets, amortization of prepaids, accruals, and adjusted journal entries Maintain the general ledger and prepare routine and ad-hoc reports Support preparation of financial statements and a 3-day hard close for reporting to parent company Support additional financial analyses as needed, including digging into flux analysis and trends in key accounts Prepare and/or review month-end journal entries, including fixed asset reporting & depreciation, prepaid expense amortization, accrued expenses, accrued/deferred revenue, interest income, and other routine journal entries Support ancillary accounting areas including supervision of AR/AP/Payroll tasks Review bi-weekly payroll entries, accruals, and calculations Support reimbursement and processing of employee expense reports & payments Oversee employee credit card expenses, payments, reconciliations, and investigations Support filing and payment of sales & use tax returns Review aged accounts receivable for accuracy Maintain proper documentation for recorded transactions, journal entries, payments, and other key information in the event of audits/reviews Support vendor management and third-party business relationships: complete new vendor forms & input appropriate information into NetSuite; update customer and vendor files routinely and as needed; support annual 1099 issuance process; support audits as needed, including financial, operational, and ERISA/benefits audits Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance or Business with an Accounting/Finance emphasis Minimum 10 years of accounting experience in a GL-facing role Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written Strong knowledge of GAAP and related accounting theory Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience within Microsoft Office programs Experience in NetSuite preferred Related Jobs
