Oversee the daily operations of Daybreak's housing programs, ensuring smooth client transitions, strong landlord partnerships, and high‑quality, youth‑centered service delivery aligned with Housing First for Youth principles. The Housing Manager facilitates client move‑ins, maintains landlord relationships, ensures regulatory compliance, and supports staff in addressing housing‑related challenges.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities Program Coordination and Client Transitions

Coordinate the transition of clients from the streets or shelters to Daybreak housing options, ensuring 100% occupancy based on the client’s needs and progress.

Responsible for the client’s move‑in process, ensuring units are ready with bedbug treatment, cleaning, painting, furnishings, and all necessary paperwork completed.

Meet with clients as needed to address housing‑related matters, including lease agreements, program compliance, financial responsibilities, and tenant rights.

Operational Oversight and Coordination

Oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Housing Program, addressing operational issues and problem‑solving as they arise.

Ensure effective coordination between the Housing and Facility departments, ensuring units are turned over promptly and are ready for new tenants.

Maintain open communication with service provider supervisors to ensure clients are progressing according to their Individualized Treatment Plans.

Landlord Relations and Housing Stability

Act as the primary liaison to landlords, cultivating relationships, understanding landlord perspectives, marketing the program, and negotiating leases on behalf of participants.

Perform routine check‑ins with landlords to support clients in obtaining and maintaining housing and provide apartment inspections as needed.

Continuously recruit landlords willing to rent to youth and young adults served by Daybreak’s housing options.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in human services, business management or a related field required.

At least three years of experience working with youth or young adults, preferably those experiencing homelessness or housing instability.

Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and a safe driving record per Motor Vehicle Record check.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high performance standards.

Ability to work well within a team, contributing positively to group dynamics and collaborative efforts.

Exceptional organizational and time management abilities to effectively balance multiple tasks and responsibilities.

Salary: $50,000 – $55,000 per year
