The job The Regional Sales Manager’s primary job is to own full‑cycle sales across a multi‑state South Central/West territory: New Mexico, Oklahoma, Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Mexico. The role includes building and executing a territory plan, developing new business, nurturing existing accounts, and conducting on‑site product demonstrations by safely towing and operating CMC spider lifts. Expect travel 2–3 weeks per month to visit customers, dealers, and events.
Job Responsibilities
Own the complete sales cycle within the South Central/West territory, from prospecting to close.
Build and execute a quarterly territory plan including pipeline, demos, orders, and revenue goals.
Prospect, qualify, and develop opportunities via outbound, referrals, events, and digital leads.
Conduct needs assessments; deliver tailored proposals and negotiate within guidelines.
Manage and report on pipeline, forecasts, and competitive intelligence using CRM.
Recruit, onboard, and support dealers/distributors; conduct joint pipeline reviews and co‑marketing.
Safely tow, transport, and operate spider lifts for on‑site demos, trainings, and customer events.
Deliver and familiarize customers with equipment, including coordinating MEWP training sessions.
Collaborate cross‑functionally with service, marketing, and operations to ensure customer success.
Capture and communicate voice‑of‑customer feedback to inform improvements.
Uphold company standards for safety, compliance, and customer experience.
Travel out of territory as needed for training, trade shows, and industry meetings.
Requirements
4–7+ years of B2B capital equipment sales experience (preferred in construction/rental, arborist, or access equipment) or bachelor’s degree in a related field with relevant sales background.
Proven ability to manage multi‑state territories and consistently meet/exceed targets.
Hands‑on technical selling skills and comfort operating aerial lifts.
Valid driver’s license with clean record; capable of towing and maneuvering a truck/trailer.
Strong CRM proficiency (Salesforce/HubSpot) and presentation skills.
Excellent communication, negotiation, organizational, and time management skills.
Self‑motivated, collaborative, and customer‑service oriented.
Must reside in or be able to relocate to the South Central/West region.
Desired Qualifications
Experience in tree care, rental, or hydraulic machinery.
Certified MEWP operator or willingness to obtain (IPAF certification a plus).
Class A or B driver’s license.
English/Spanish bilingual a plus.
Ability to adapt in dynamic jobsite and demo environments.
