We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate
Special Education Teacher
to join our team in Long Island, NY. As a
Special Education Teacher , you can work a flexible schedule that meets your needs while making a difference in the lives of children and families. Your pay will be based on your skills and experience; for this role, the annual salary ranges from $58,500 to $60,000.
Location Long Island, NY (Suffolk and Nassau Counties)

Job Responsibilities
Provide pediatric therapy services and/or evaluations to children aged birth to 21 years in a natural setting
Educate families and caregivers on applicable intervention strategies to facilitate active involvement and carry‑over
Work in diverse settings such as client homes, daycare homes/centers, preschools, clinics, and other community settings
Follow the unique therapy plan established for a family/child, plan for ongoing treatment and address identified goals while documenting progress
Prepare progress reports as indicated
Maintain child records and confidentiality of information regarding children and families in accordance with HIPAA and state/federal regulations; required records must be submitted within the established timelines
Requirements
Passion for working with children and families
One of the following NYS certifications/licenses:
Students with Disabilities (Birth 2) Initial or Professional Certification
Permanent Special Education Certification
TSHH Permanent Certification
TSLD Initial or Professional Certification
NYS Licensed Master Social Worker
NYS Licensed Clinical Social Worker
Self‑motivated, team player, patient, and professional
Fluency in a language other than English is a plus
Physical Requirements
Must be able to travel to and from assigned cases, including driving a personal vehicle, walking, or using public transportation
Ability to ascend and descend staircases
Ability to lift 10 pounds regularly
Ability to sit on the floor, kneel, and/or crawl for extended periods of time
